Self-Advocacy Groups: Florida Self-Advocates Network'd
Florida has a network of 14 grassroots self-advocacy groups that tackle advocacy projects and community service at the local level. FL SAND also has a board that coordinates the efforts of its local groups to advocate at the state and national levels.
Employment
Expanding opportunities for fair, accessible, and equal employment for persons with disabilities are prominent issues on which self-advocates continually work. Click here for information on employment efforts and links to job opportunities for self-advocates.
Resource Agencies and Organizations
These state and national organizations provide valuable information, services, and resources to self-advocates and all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Most of them include self-advocacy promotion and support as part of their mission.

Policy & Legislative Action
